The Columbus Organization donates to the 16th Annual Disability Ball in Delaware allowing four individuals to attend the event
Wayne, PA, November 21, 2019 – The Columbus Organization, a nationally recognized provider of community navigation and other services for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, was recently recognized for donating to the 16th Annual Disability Ball, allowing four individuals, who otherwise could not afford the price of a ticket, to be guests and enjoy the event.
The Disability Ball is organized each year by Independent Resources, Inc., a non-profit center for Independent Living. As the only event of its kind in the country, the Ball brings together many different disabled communities for an enjoyable opportunity to potentially create once-in-a-lifetime experiences. The Disability Ball was designed to meet an unfortunate social need in the community. Many individuals with disabilities may never have the opportunity to attend a high school prom or other formal event. This event provides a comfortable, safe and secure chance for people to enjoy dinner, dancing, and socializing.
Jeff Klimaski, President of The Columbus Organization noted, “We are thrilled to have supported this wonderful organization and event. In our ongoing quest to help people achieve their meaningful-life goals, the Annual Disability Ball offers a wonderful example of an initiative that aligns perfectly with our mission.”
